Sustainable Development Goal 11 of 17
Towns and cities should be safe, inclusive and prepared for future challenges.

Cities and towns should be places where people can live safely and get around affordably. This goal includes housing, public transport, clean air, waste management, public spaces and preparation for floods or other disasters. It also values community input when places are planned.
A safe, affordable bus route can connect residents to jobs, schools and healthcare without requiring a car.
These are areas of action within the goal, not a complete list of its UN targets.
Affordable housing and accessible public transport
Cleaner air, managed waste and welcoming public spaces
Planning that reduces the harm caused by disasters
Preparing settlements for floods and heat is part of responding to climate change.
