Climate change affects heat, rainfall, farming, health and the safety of homes and livelihoods. This goal calls for reducing the causes of climate change and preparing for impacts already being felt. It includes public planning, education and support for communities at greater risk.
A flood warning system and a clear evacuation plan can help a community respond before rising water puts lives at risk.
