Sustainable Development Goal 8 of 17
Economic progress should create safe, fairly paid work and opportunities for young people.

Economic progress should create work that is safe, fairly paid and open to more people. This goal also addresses unemployment among young people, labour rights, exploitation and the need for businesses to grow without exhausting natural resources.
A young worker should be paid fairly, have a safe workplace and be able to learn skills for a better job.
These are areas of action within the goal, not a complete list of its UN targets.
Safe workplaces and respect for workers’ rights
Employment and training opportunities for young people
Businesses that grow without exhausting resources
Education and practical skills help people enter and improve their working lives.
